China NMPA Drug Inspection - Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. - High-density polyethylene bottle caps for oral solid medications

The Gansu Provincial Food and Drug Administration announced the results of its sampling inspection of pharmaceutical packaging materials on January 3, 2018, following inspections conducted on December 26, 2017. This regulatory initiative was undertaken in accordance with the "Gansu Province Pharmaceutical Packaging Material Production and Use Special Inspection Plan" (Gansu Food and Drug Administration Document No. 143 [2017]), which mandated self-inspections by pharmaceutical packaging material production and use enterprises across the province. Additionally, city and prefecture-level regulatory departments conducted supervision, and the Provincial Administration performed organized inspections and sampling.The inspection focused on various pharmaceutical packaging materials, including polypropylene infusion bottles, pharmaceutical aluminum foil, polyvinyl chloride solid pharmaceutical rigid sheets, and high-density polyethylene bottles and caps for oral solid medicines. Companies and institutions subject to inspection included Gansu Fuzheng Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., Gansu Lanyao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Gansu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research and Preparation Center, and Lanzhou Foci Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Gaolan Bottle Manufacturing Branch.A total of seven batches of pharmaceutical packaging materials were sampled and subjected to testing. Notably, all sampled batches were found to be compliant with the established regulatory requirements. Consequently, the report indicated no specific violations or non-conformities, and therefore, no corrective actions were required from the inspected entities, affirming the quality and adherence to standards of the pharmaceutical packaging materials reviewed.
