FDA WARNING_LETTER - cigarettes-ez-store.com
The FDA's Center for Tobacco Products reviewed the website http://www.cigarettes-ez-store.com and found that cigarette products offered for sale to U.S. customers are in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act).
Several products are deemed "adulterated" under section 902(8) of the FD&C Act because they are "modified risk tobacco products" sold without an FDA order. This includes products labeled "light," "super light," "extra light," "ultra light," or "mild," or those implying reduced harm, tar, or nicotine. Examples include Bond Lights, Camel Lights, Marlboro Lights, and products described as "lower in tar and nicotine" like Bond and Lucky Strike.
Additionally, products like Aroma Rich Apple, Kiss Mohito, and Richmond Cherry are "adulterated" under section 902(5) of the FD&C Act for containing characterizing flavors (other than tobacco or menthol), which is prohibited for cigarettes as of September 22, 2009. If these products do not contain such flavors, they are "misbranded" under section 903(a)(1) or 903(a)(7)(A) for false or misleading labeling.
The FDA requires immediate corrective actions, including discontinuing the violative promotion, advertising, sale, and distribution of these products. Failure to comply may result
