FDA WARNING_LETTER - La Tienda, Inc. - November 20, 2013
On November 20, 2013, the Virginia Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (VDACS) inspected La Tienda, Inc.'s seafood warehouse in Toano, VA, on behalf of the FDA. The inspection revealed serious violations of the seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulation (21 CFR Part 123), rendering Mojama Dry-Cured Tuna Filets, Nardin Anchovy Filets (unsmoked), and Cantabrian Anchovy Filets adulterated under Section 402(a)(4) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
